Zo verzorg je de tanden van je baby

Gele tanden ogen niet mooi en iedereen heeft natuurlijk het liefste een zo wit mogelijk gebit. Op zowel een volwassen als melkgebit kunnen verkleuringen ontstaan en er zijn verschillende oorzaken voor aan te geven. Zelf tanden bleken kun je het beste op een zo natuurlijk mogelijke manier doen omdat dit geen nare bijwerkingen geeft. 

Hoe verzorg je het melkgebit van je kindje? 

Heeft je kindje last van gelige tanden? Dat is niet zo erg want deze wisselen toch nog op latere leeftijd. Het gebit van je kindje verzorg je het beste door dit te poetsen met een speciale tandpasta die voor kinderen is ontwikkeld. Hierin zitten de beste stoffen die voor hen geschikt zijn en die ervoor zorgen dat ze zo gezond mogelijke melktanden behouden. Gele tanden verhelpen is niet nodig bij kinderen. Je hoeft pas te beginnen met poetsen als je kindje tandjes krijgt. Wordt je kindje ouder? Dan kun je kiezen voor speciale peuter- en kleutertandpasta. 

Je tanden chemisch laten bleken

Bij jezelf als volwassene kun je er wel voor kiezen je tanden een paar tinten witter te maken. Dit kun je op verschillende manieren aanpakken. Zo kun je ervoor kiezen je tanden chemisch te laten bleken. Dit is niet de meest gezonde manier omdat er chemicaliën aan te pas komen. Dit kun je ook niet zelf doen. Soms is het effect van de behandeling na een poosje weer verdwenen en dien je deze opnieuw te laten doen. 

Zelf je tanden op meer natuurlijke wijze bleken

Zeker als je zelf je tanden witter wilt maken is het slim om voor een meer natuurlijke behandeling te kiezen. Houd er daarbij zeker ook rekening mee dat je tanden geler worden door verschillende oorzaken. Deze zijn bij baby’s nog niet aan de orde. 

  • Bepaalde voedingsmiddelen zorgen voor aanslag op je tanden. Denk hierbij aan koffie, thee, cola, wijn en vruchtensap. Door veelvuldig gebruik van deze middelen verkleuren je tanden en wordt tevens het glazuur aangetast. 
  • In frisdrank en veel soorten fruit zit zuur. Dit zorgt voor aantasting van het tandglazuur waardoor dit dunner wordt en verkleuringen makkelijker ontstaan. 
  • Als je veel rookt dan krijg je door de nicotine verkleuringen op je tanden. Deze aanslag is doorgaans erg moeilijk te verwijderen. 
  • Tenslotte kan tandsteen verkleuringen veroorzaken. Dit dien je wel bij de tandarts met regelmaat te laten verwijderen maar je kunt zelf ook al goed poetsen om tandplak (de veroorzaker van tandsteen) aan te pakken.

Door bepaalde voedingsmiddelen te vermijden, niet te roken en je gebit goed schoon te houden kun je al veel problemen voorkomen en worden je tanden minder snel geel. Zorg er ook voor dat je mond goed vochtig blijft om zo problemen te voorkomen.
